ABOUT ME

My name is Stephanie and I was 17 when I first experienced the symptoms of Swyer-James Syndrome. While the doctors searched for the disease and possible treatments for almost two years, my lungs experienced a seropneumothorax, which made the removal of several diseased segments of my left lung unavoidable.

In the meantime I have been living - consciously - with Swyer-James syndrome and with a significantly smaller left lung for 10 years.

In my blog I want to share my experiences, positive and negative, with people who may also suffer from the rare syndrome and are looking for like-minded people.
